The company began in the mid-eighties operating from a stall at Chester le Street Market (which we attend each Friday) 24 years later!! Our portfolio of markets continued to grow throughout the nineties and recognition as the North East’s Leading Market Butchers was finally established upon the opening of the famous Catterick Sunday Market 18 years ago. We currently operate on 11 weekly markets with firm plans to increase this to 15 per week in the near future.
In 1995 we took the residence in our current unit on Team Valley Trading Estate and as well as continuing in its capacity as a base for our market operation this location provides us with our renowned `Centre of Meat Excellence’ Open 6 days weekly (closed Sundays) we showcase our entire range here and welcome everyone to purchase at this location or simply pop in for coffee and meet the team.
We have just opened a brand new Centre of Meat Excellence in Kingston Park open 7 days a week and we are very proud of it, complete with a state of the art demonstration kitchen we plan to have a number of cooking demonstrations over the coming months.
